What is Xtreme Youth? Xtreme Youth is the student ministry of New Life Faith Center. Our ministry serves students in middle and high school as we see them grow in their relationship with Christ and become examples of the goodness and mercy of God in our community, at school, and at home. The ministries of Xtreme Youth are focused on the words of the Apostle Paul to Timothy in 1 Timothy 4:12:
"Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity."
It is the goal of our ministry to see teens become an example for other believers (both younger and older) in their conversation, their actions, their compassion, their belief, and in the relationships.
What does Xtreme Youth do? As a youth group, our first priority is developing students to become disciples of Christ. In addition to a weekly meeting to encourage a growing relationship we sponsor outings, events, and activities to be an example in our community. We complete service projects, fundraisers, and girls and guys night out. We also have movie and game nights. Our efforts as a ministry serve to provide a safe, Christ-centered, loving environment for all of our students.
What is the age group for student ministries at New Life? The student ministries at New Life Faith Center are designed for students thirteen and up. The discussions, lessons, and activities are designed to deal with issues in late middle school and high school.
What is an Xtreme Youth weekly meeting like? Each Wednesday, we offer a weekly meeting for Xtreme Youth. The meeting begins at 7PM and we begin our meeting by participating in Praise and Worship with the adult service. At the conclusion of the praise and worship time period, students are dismissed downstairs with a team of leaders. During the second part of this meeting, students have a snack, hang-out time, a Bible lesson, and games. The environment is relaxed, casual, and fun.
Who leads Xtreme Youth? The leadership team of Xtreme Youth works under the direction of our Senior pastor. The all-volunteer leadership team is trained and dedicated to issues that surround students. To read more about our leadership team, check out the youth ministry profiles.
